Rating: Summary: Garry Review: As good as it gets - do not look farther....I have looked at few of the books on this subject - this one is make you understand the subject in plain English - you do not feel stupid reading it. Combine with a good exam test questionary - and you will make it...
Rating: Summary: All ready to pass the exam - check this out! Review: Exam 70-073 is now the 1 exam most people take in order to become MCP and this book will make a big difference in the attempt. This book covers each exam objective and gives the detailed information you need in order to pass the exam on the first try. The book of over 600 pages gives you exam tips, study tips, hands-on exercise, case studies summaries and review questions, exam questions and practice tests all to help you obtain your certification .................... The book sis loaded with diagrams, pictures, tables and figures to make the learning process easier. The author takes out the mystery behind the NT Workstation and uncomplicates the technical jargon thus enabling to retain more information, and remember information is the key to passing the exam. The book includes Top Score Software exam simulation; this allows you to try the exam before you go live. Overall the book is one for the technical library even after passing the exam.
Rating: Summary: Better than most books twice as heavy! Review: I have right know - 5 books on this subject and I just passed the test on the first try with a 866 when only a 700 is required. I believe this book is what put me over the top and gave me some error room to boot! It is very easy to read and reminded me a lot of a textbook but thats a good thing, those "other" books try to make things much harder than they have to be. This book lays it out in a GREAT format. I found no errors unlike many other books and I recommend this with 5 star! - something I rarely ever give out. Good job to the author, keep it up! Highly recommend!
Rating: Summary: Well Written... Review: I used this book as my sole reference for taking the Workstation Exam. I found very few surprises on the actual exam. The writing style was not too boring and gave good reference to actual exam and knowledge goals. I passed the exam on my first attempt; my score was passing...the actual number is nobodies business. After all, when you go to the doctor's you never really know if the doc is a 'C' doc or and 'A'... Would recommend the book to people who have the resporces to practice, practice, practice....ie...a Windows NT Workstation computer. Don't have one...get one... Good Luck...
Rating: Summary: Get it at once to pass the exam Review: Just like the other New Rider's MCSE core exams training guides. You can find Fast-Fact section of four core exams at back of the book. It can give you a quick revision and facts, at least can make me don't mix up the features of NT workstation and NT server. Yes, this book can let you pass the exam. I just pass it with 900. The exam tips, practice test, illustration are also in this book. Also, the well-organized contents that make me easy to follow. That's why I give this book five stars. I would recommend the four core exams training guide by New Riders. Don't neglect New Riders, especially this training guide.
Rating: Summary: Thanks for the early Christmas gift! Review: Thanks in part to this book, I am now an MCP. I passed Exam 70-073 on December 23 with an 833 having only 3 months experience with Windows NT and using this book with the corresponding Exam Cram (ISBN 1576101932, a MUST HAVE!). The content was well presented and the hands-on exercises very helpful in preparation for the certification test. I plan on using New Riders again as I study for both NT Server exams (along with Alan Carter's Windows NT 4.0 MCSE Study Guide, ISBN 0764530879). Next stop, Enterprise. Good luck to all of you persuing your certifications! Brian J. Cicio, MCP
Rating: Summary: Passed with a 900 and 7 days of study. Review: This book is clear, concise, interesting (almost like an unputdownable novel by Sidney Sheldon). I'm not joking. You can read it in one or two days, do the transcenders, print out your transcender results. Before the exam review the transcenders and walk out with a 900 like me. I must mention i have six months admin and six months support experience. Just to let you know the experience level. Good luck to all.

I found the book to be well written, informative, and definately worth the money. I just got back from passing the test, and am definately going to pick up the server book from this series. A great book for the test and for the real world working knowledge
Rating: Summary: An excelent study guide Review: This is really a fantastic book for learning about NT Workstation. I had never even seen NT before deciding to study for this test. I used this book, NT Workstation for Dummies, and the Transcender test. I passed the exam with ease. The CD is has relevant test questions and even simulation questions.
