Summary: My #1 Pick for Online Job-Search
Review: As the author of a book on resume writing and president of a firm that specializes in job search services, I am always looking for good resources to add to my library and to recommend to clients. "Jump Start" is my #1 pick for online job-search.

For many job seekers, the prospect of online job search can be daunting. JumpStart Your Online Job Search takes the "daunts" and doubts out of the process! I love the way Pat has taken the "hugeness" of the Internet and broken it down into manageable pieces. I found her ideas for researching jobs and developing keyword lists to be sound advice (I learned some great little tricks myself!).

Especially helpful is the CD that comes with the book (contents are also printed in the appendices) AND her companion sites: where job seekers can get current job-search links and develop a Web resume (the process is fully automated -- you don't have to know a line of HTML!).

Pat was one of the first in the job-search industry to recognize the possibilities of the Internet and has been online since the mid-1990's . . . cumulatively, her thousands of hours online shine throughout this book. It's a must-read for anyone who wants to master the maze of the Internet!

Review: The book is well written and organized. However, the software that came with the book (one of the main reasons I ordered the book) was difficult to use and had little to no support. I am a software engineer and could not get some of the programs to run after installation. Also, the websites that were listed for troubleshooting help were no longer valid.
