Review: This book is fantastic!! It is really a classroom manual with all of the little things explained and actual pictures of what appears on the screen when you are done. It's simple format and excercizes make using it a breeze whether you want to skim over basic things you already know (like how to get around in a windows environment) or dive in and do all of the excercises. It also lists the several ways that you can do each task so that you can choose which way you want. I find that the "warnings" and notes are invaluable because they tell you how and why the program does certain things and the consequences of making certain decisions in your report writing. The excercizes seem basic at first, but introduce you to all the possibilities and where to find them. Crystal charges $800-900 for their courses which are only held in major cities and asks that you already complete Chapter 7 in their manual. As a working, home schooling,dog-and-cat-owning mom, I can train at home when I want and save the travel expenses! I look forward to completing my projects in Crystal; it will save our company a ton of $ and I should get a major bonus (or so I'm told -- my husband is the boss!) I highly recommend this program. This book along with Crystal's very well written help section should give you enough to do whatever you want.
