Summary: Review Of G. Keiser LAN text
Review: I have been teaching undergraduate classes in Computer Communications, and Local Area Networks for the last ten years. I found Keiser's LAN to be one of the most comprehensive and, at the same time, concise text books in this area. The end-of-chapter problems are quite enlightening. Moreover, the chapter on LAN Access Techniques introduces the student to important concepts such stability, and channel capacity computations in rigors mathematical approach. Other chapters cover the basics in a brief and intersting fashion.
