Rating: Summary: Thought-provoking Review: This book is wide in scope and original in its approach. As the title implies, an effort is made to draw a fundamental/philosophical connection between globalization and technology. The book contains essays from seminal philosophers of technology such as Don Ihde (Technics and Praxis) and Andrew Feenberg (Questioning Technology) as well as excellent essays by W.R. Newell (What is a Man?) and Donald Phillip Verene (Philosophy & the Return to Self-Knowledge), among others. Some of the essays are more difficult to get through than others. Overall, a great introduction as well as an excellent resource for scholarship.
