Review: My favorite part about this book is that it is still in print. I have a 486, and it is really fast enough to run the applications I use; I don't see why I should invest 2K dollars in hardware every few years.

The thing is Windows 95, despite Microsoft's claims, doesn't run very well on a 486, even one with 16 megs of ram like mine. And since the internet wasn't hot such hot tomatoes when 3.1 came out, it's very hard to find support on how to set up 3.1 for use with the internet.

And support is badly needed. As it is well-known, the internet version of Windows 3.11 is one of the most hoaky and buggy OS's ever written.

That's where Mastering Windows 3.11 Internet Edition comes in. It covers the ins and outs of getting online with Win3. It even includes a special version of Microsoft Intenet Explorer, all tweaked out for 3.11
