Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Bulk without substance
Review: This book tries to cover too many bases. It explains what you can do with Ultradev, without really explaining how to do it. They waist a lot of time on very general discussions of database design, SQL statements, and planning a web site. It contains gems such as understanding your target audience: "Does my audience have computers?" Yes they actually say that! Meanwhile you will go nuts trying to find the real content. If you really want to learn Dreamweaver UltraDev, this book is probably too general.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The Only Book Required for Dynamic Websites with UltraDev
Review: What can I say!? You really can't get any more complete than this book! I've been designing websites for 2 years now and after reading through the whole book, I would have to say that everything you could want to know about using UltraDev has been covered in a very readable and well thought out way. Even with experience there is a lot of useful information in the book. Not only that, it covers heaps of other useful related topics such as databases, web server administration and site design, as well as the more "get your hands" dirty topics such as extension development for Dreamweaver and UltraDev.
From newbie to experienced, this book covers every possible topic you could want to know, and if you read the entire book you will most certainly come out better for it. At over 800 pages it is what it says: THE COMPLETE REFERENCE!.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: OK in my view
Review: When I started to read this book I was very disappointed. The first part was on things that I could easily find in the manuals that came with Dreamweave. But yet this book did not replace the manuals. So the name complete reference is misguiding
But I am new in the world of database and ASP programmer. The book got me more then on the road to making great websites. There are parts that I could have write better. But as a whole, It gets the big OK. It covers not just ASP. but also JSP,Coldfusion. And the CD saves time re-writing the code. I give it 4 stars as where it must out on, it gave back 2 or more times in info.
