Summary: Tough To Master With This Book
Review: Didn't find this book especially helpful, or professional. Most of the "tricks" were based on one idea - duplicatating objects. Since version 2 info was missing, important and helpful info on such things as Web effects was missing. Using PhotoDraw elements or complete pages in a Web site was either briefly covered, or not at all. With so many references to himself, his business and his girlfriend (pictures too), I found this neither necessary nor professional. Anyone with a business name of "Slimy Dog Grafix" isn't very encouraging to start with. I think "PhatoDraw At A Glance" (also does not address version 2), along with the "Using PhotoDraw" that comes with the software, were the best sources of information.

Summary: Great guide to PhotoDraw 2000
Review: I've just finished reading the book, following closely the author's examples. It is indeed a very useful guide to help unlock the features of PhotoDraw 2000. Walks the reader step by step thru' each technique eg 3D effects, Fade out, Special effects, Web animation, etc.

My only wish list is for the author to update the book to include new features found in PhotoDraw 2000 version 2 -the book is based on version 1.

Summary: Mastering PhotoDraw 2000
Review: Just by chance I found this book and it has answered so many questions that have been puzzling me since I first started using PhotoDraw. Shane Hunt's approach to the program puts everything in a context that makes sense and I am now going through the lessons and the tutorials. This book will become one of my most valuable resources!

Summary: Great book for the home user!
Review: This book starts with the basics of the tool and gracefully moves on to the more advanced topics. I found it very easy to read and understand. The projects at the end of each chapter were easy to follow and produced some fabulous results. There were; however, some areas that couldn't be followed because this was written for version 1 instead of the version 2 now available. It was easy enough to work around or figure out what area of the tool you really needed to be in. I would buy this book if you want to do fun graphics projects with photos or clip art!

Review: This book was very helpful in teaching me how to use PhotoDraw 2000 using real-world examples. I am new to this computer graphics stuff and the book showed me how to do very cool things with this program!
Shane's writing is very fun and personal, and not a stuffy "professional" talking down to you. He is a fun guy and it shows in his book.
If you have PhotoDraw 2000 you need this book!
