Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The Best for serious programmers
Review: After spending far too much time at the bookstore, I have concluded that Maximum Java 1.1 still beats out the other 'advanced' books for its coverage of Native Methods, RMI, advanced GUI, JDBC, multithreading, etc. If you already know the basics of Java, this is the only book you need for serious development.

Summary: The Best for serious programmers
Review: If you want to go in advance in Java code you must buy this book. It'll teach you more than the basics techs. It contains very helpful and worthy informations.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Very bad choice for any serious java programmer
Review: The organization of this book is O.K. However, there are too many typos and seldom of those programs works! It is a really bad choice for beginners because there are too much details. It is also bad for advanced programmers because there are too few examples to succeed compiling!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good Reference
Review: This is a very good book for reference. It combines articles the author has used, by permission I assume. At first I didn't read the book, but when stuck on a topic it came in very handy. It has much information if your willing to dig for it.
