Review: A MUST HAVE FOR ANYONE IN LINUX!!! Lots of extremely useful info. This book is one half a treasure trove of getting started, user guide,sys admin.,a mini book by itself named Network guide(just 270 pages!)Last but not least is the 90 page Kernel hackers guide Alpha version 0.6 by Michael K Johnson.
Other half is a compendium of HOWTOs and mini-HOWTOs. Some of the info is old book is 1997. The best way to keep up to date on this is to go online. This is the official and up to date The Linux Documentation Project in 5 languages! English, Portugese, Spanish, French and Korean. With all its flaws A MUST HAVE BOOK FOR ANYONE IN LINUX.
