Rating: Summary: Great test preparation Review: After reading the exam cram for NT Server, I am absolutely amazed. This book condenses the information necessary to pass the MCSE NT Server 4.0 exam in a manner which is easy to digest. The only problem I have with the book is that it is too good at what it does. Working with NT Server on a daily basis, I fear that making the MCSE too easy too pass will help flood the market with paper MCSEs. It is for that reason alone that I cannot give this book a solid 10.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't have passed the test the 1st time without it! Review: I supplemented studying the Microsoft Press training series with this Exam Cram book for the NT Server 4.0 exam (along with actually using the software). I've only been working with NT for about 6 weeks now, and with the help of the Exam Cram book, I passed the test the first time. Many of the test questions seemed to be right from the book, or at least were similar enough for me to eliminate most of the 'bogus' answers. Although my score was just 800, it was enough to pass, and I know what areas I need to work on to hopefully do better on the next exam. Some of your other reviewers perhaps see this approach as a good way to get an MCSE on 'paper', but there's so much to learn, this tool has helped me to feel that all is not lost and that I CAN do it!
Rating: Summary: A very good supplemental study aide... Review: This book is excelent to start with and to finish with once you have read some other material. This plus Alan Carter's book and you will pass with out a problem
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book to prepare for the Server Exam Review: This is not a book to buy just to make your sole study guide, for me this a review book, a very good review book. It is simple, goes to the point and has a lot of quetions to make you think. The best thing is that it explains the answers very detailed and it even gives you where to find more information. Believe me this is very good side book, you buy a big main book, one that has 800 pages and explains in details what you want to learn (like Sybex or IDG). A few days before the test you take this book and go over the most important aspects of Windows NT Server. If you though that you were going to pass with just one book, think twice. You need at least two books and some practice to pass. If you don't believe me, let me tell you that so far I have passed 3 Microsoft, 1 Novell and 2 A+ Certification exams on the first try. Good luck on your test.
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK IS REALLY WONDERFUL! Review: Well, I just passed the (adaptive)70-67 exam, largely thanks to the authors of this book. This is the fourth exam I have passed using the series, and this one is exceptionally good. Some of the topics on the practice questions were exactly the same as the actual test. They really seem to know the issues to stress. Read a general book to start (like a Microsoft Press book), then finish by reading this. It works great, and saves you the cost of a course!
