Rating: Summary: Buyer Beware!! Review: Great joke book! If you are easily offended on various matters, Ray's "nothing is sacred" approach will scare you. However, is you subscribe to the theory that stupid people shouldn't breed, then you need to read this to meet some of the dumbest people to hit the planet. Ray gets to meet most of them and probably has more fun with them than doing the joke lists! Thanks, Ray.
Rating: Summary: Great Stuff Review: I keep this religiously on the back of my toilet. Sometimes, my wife complains I spend way too much time in there. I really recommend this book, unless you really don't have a sense of humor. I really look forward to another book by Ray Owens. His jokes are superb.
Rating: Summary: yeah, i read it! Review: i not only read it, i read it about 150 times. not because i don't catch on the first time i read something, but because i helped to proof-read it. of course, THEN i used my shift key. i've been a jokeaday fan for a long time, not just for the jokes, but for ray owens' personality, which shines through in everything he does. i think he's a great guy (and i'm not his mother, although i'm old enough to be) with the absolute courage of his convictions and the ability to express them. "fish" is not just a joke book - read it for the jokes, sure, but also read it for the look into a real person.
Rating: Summary: Proof that P.C. is highly over-rated Review: If you get a queasy stomach when you hear the word "damn" then you should really go away now. If you, on the other hand, have a sarcastic, no-holds-barred sense of humor, you will love this book. These aren't knock-knock or 'gross' jokes. Look forward to Li'l Johnny and the like, but the real value here is seeing the true life morons that contact Ray, and the entertainingly truthful replies back. You'll meet Judi, who's so blonde it comes through in her words. Amanpreet, who likes his coffee black, like his lizards (or so the rumor goes). And many, many more. GET THIS BOOK.
Rating: Summary: its not helped with getting sex.... Review: its not helped with getting sex....but i have to say that this book has a simple creed, something in here will make you laugh. Well I would hope so its all jokes from Rays jokeaday mailing list. There are people who will get offended by some if not all of the jokes for one reason or another, and some just won't get it at all, but they probably have an AOL account anyway, :-) I never stopped laughing from the moment I opened the front cover and read Ray and Aprils messages. Ray let the girl free :-) I loved it, so I gave it 5 stars, but then I have enough IQ to breathe and do my shoelaces up at the same time :-) I have to say Ray is the nicest guy I have never met, and if this sounds like I am creeping, I am not, I just never get bored of reading Rays comments to the morons of this world, stuff that I wouldn't get away with saying in my job (you just wish you could) The book is great, the website is better (not allowed to put that here, spoilsports) and check out the picnic photos, April is a babe, and as for Rays daughter, well being on my hands and knees and some broken glass comes to mind :-) Oops I am in trouble now. Thats the last time Ray will send me any money :-) (ROFL) Buy it, the jokes won't get you sex, but at least she won't throw a drink over your head if you try. P.S. For those of you on WebTV, I wrote this slowly as I know you lot can't read that fast. (J O K E) P.P.S. Bum, I am in trouble with everyone now. Oh thats right I don't care, see it works :-)
Rating: Summary: So funny it burst my stitches. Review: Normally, joke books get dull by the 10th page. But Ray breaks it up with his Judi and Amanpreet mail and sheer mean flames. Funny, in a sort of self-absorbed kind of way. The jokes are good, though, and the last couple of part (buy the book to see for yourself) is worth the price of the book. Memorize the last 10 pages and you can do a stand up routine.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Hilarious Review: Ray Owens is a funny guy, and this book is proof! No matter what your age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or choice of Internet Provider, he'll be sure to insult you at least once and make you laugh histerically a million times. It does contain a lot of adult humor, so keep that in mind. Definitely recommended for anyone with a sense of humor, and the ability to take cracks with a grain of salt. Also recommended for those who hate AOL or morons, since there are many idiotic letters from said individuals. Happy reading!
Rating: Summary: Gotta Love It! Review: This book is an absolutely hilarious collection of jokes, letters and off-the-cuff replies. Ray is an intelligent ex-customer service person that finally gets to say exactly what he is thinking not only to the idiot he's speaking to, but the whole world. Beware, this book is for people over 18 that have a sense of humor!
Rating: Summary: If You Beat Your Fish It Will Die Review: This book is such fun easy reading and the way it is "Kinda Divided" up in segments it is great for picking up and putting down whenever you have a minute. Or when you need a "Quicky" and have very little time. No it is not very everyone - it is not for the young or for the adults that do not know that it is OK to laugh at outselves and for others that are equally as bad off (mentally). I think of Ray as an unknown friend (after all he did autograph my book!) You are Great Ray! Keep up the good work.
Rating: Summary: Funny Review: This is actually a pretty funny book. There are enough off color jokes to offend anyone.
