Rating: Summary: Fairly Good / Quite Good Review: Excellent tool if you don't have W2k; excellent tool if you *do* have W2k. Would've liked a few more labs - esp. in folder redirection, auditing access and security configuration (none); nonetheless seems to be a good value (truly so if you buy it used-see half.com). A Great Resource, Definitely A Keeper. (Used in conjunction with Exam Cram, Exam Prep Windows 2000 Foundations, braindumps). A+, Network+, MCP, CCNA, soon MCSA&MCSE
Rating: Summary: Not that bad, really Review: I used this LabSim on a laptop, having no access to Windows 2K Pro otherwise. It is true that if this is all you use, you will not pass Exam 70-210. However, when used with the ExamPrep or ExamCram, both of which are cross-referenced in the start of the LabSim, this goes a long way to preparing for the exam. There are over 80 demos and 11 animations where you just watch. The real strength is the thirty-four simulations that let you actually do the required tasks. These are done on a Win2K Pro simulated desktop. This simulation goes beyond what can be done on a test workstation of your own because several of the tasks require the creation of a GPO, or publishing an applicaiton in a networked environment with AD running. That is difficult to set up at home. The approved solution is given, but you can do the task in several different ways, using various paths to the same final screen. Finish off your preparation with some practice exams, either Transcender or those from Self Test Software (MS Readiness Review), and you should pass. I did. And now on to W2K server....
Rating: Summary: Garbage! A complete and total waste of money... Review: Trust me, you will NOT be able to pass ANY Microsoft exam using this product. I really don't think that 10% of the product is actually made up of simulations. The vast majority of the product is composed of demonstrations that you watch. WARNING - a great deal of the information contained within the Professional, Server, Network, and Directory CD-ROMS in this series is repeated from disc to disc. Please do not spend your money on this product - you'll be wasting both your hard-earned dollars and your time.
