Summary: if you need to learn this book will do it
Review: I wanted to learn C++ and so bought 3 different books after being diappointed with each one. I finally found this book and it was like finding water in the desert. This book provides very good coding examples with an explanation for each line.
It will take you from the very beginning like a "Hello World" program to the end using OOP(Object Oriented Programming). This book is all DOS based and I recommend learning C++ in DOS first to get a solid foundation then you can move onto windows programming. If you're a C programmer who needs to learn OOP then this book will work for you too. If you're a novice then don't worry because this book will teach you the basics.

Summary: Excellent beginner book and C/C++ reference
Review: Using this book, I learned C/C++ five years ago when I was twelve years old. It gives excellent background in C and C++. I currently use it as a reference manual when coding.
