Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Extremely vague and general
Review: I was hoping to learn more about the securing a linux system, but found that this book only skims the surface. Mostly it speaks about what security is in general and only points out some of the parts of linux that need to be secured such as passwords. This book was written for the absolute linux beginner that doesn't even know what a shell is. I guess I was looking for more of a how-to: something that will talk about some of the holes that have been found in the past, how they were fixed, what types of security breaches are common, and how to prevent them.

I have read this entire book, and I am no more secure than I was before reading this book!
