Rating: Summary: A good book for the absolute begginer. Review: This book is a great way for the absolute novice to learn the fundamentals of making music with a PC. The book starts from the very basic, 'What is sound' and gradually moves on to intricacies of sound editing and manipulation. The CD that comes with the book is jammed with a great mix of programs, including a preview copy of Cool Edit and a really good guitar tutor. The biggest criticism of the book is it's failure to mention Cubase, a program anyone who is really serious about computer music should get to know.
