Rating: Summary: Excellent - From Start To Sky Review: I got whatever I wanted from this book.
Rating: Summary: Useful but not up-to-date Review: This book covers more or less all you need to know, and more. However it is out of date (this becomes very obvious as you start to read it), and contains both a lot of errors (in the text and tests) and covers subjects that are no longer part of the NetWare 4.1 Admin exam (messaging services and fault tolerance for example). The book could be very good, but it needs a re-write. It's useful as supplementary reading, but I would not feel confident using it as the only source of reference material.
Rating: Summary: An Otherwise Good Book in Dire Need of Editing Review: Were it not for the amazing number of typos and editing errors in this book, it would have made for a wonderful stand-alone guide to the 50-613 exam. It gets two stars from me due to the almost uselessness of the self-help tests at the end of each chapter. Every test had one (most had more) questions which when you went back to the reading material, the answer they gave was incorrect. The exception was Chapter 5, which almost caused me to throw the book away. This chapter dealt with NDS rights, and the examples they gave were correct and very useful! But the self-help exam included several of these problems, and with one exception, all were calculated wrong. While I did find some minor typos in the actual reading material, I found it was generally accurate. It did tend to ramble on, often repeating itself in subsequent paragraphs, as if it had been typed on the fly. To conclude: This book is a good book for brushing up existing knowledge of Netware 4.11 Administration, however due to the errors, particularly in the self-help tests, I would not recommend it as a stand-alone study guide.
