Summary: Both lab and questions are perfect for exam 70-315
Review: Don't buy this book. They promise you labs and test questions in pdf files, but pdf files are bad at their site http://www.ewrox.net/ . I have send enumerous reply to their email contact (inforewrox.net) but no reply...

Summary: Bad Questions, Non-Existant Labs
Review: I bought this book because it had some good reviews.

First of all try the website www.ewrox.net - and you will see it has been taken down. The labs some people say are useful, are not available.

Secondly, there are many errors in the questions. While reviewing the questions/answers I constantly found myself saying, that doesn't seem right - and sure enough when I went to Visual Studio and ran the code, the book was wrong.

Thirdly, most of the questions don't have an explanation, just the author's answer (which isn't always even right).

I'd highly recommend buying the Exam Cram 2 series books for the MCAD 70-315, 70-316, and 70-320. Very informative books with a lot of explanation, cram sheets, and test taking tips.

Summary: Both lab and questions are perfect for exam 70-315
Review: The questions and lab are perfect for the exam, but before you can get the lab you will have to register to recieve a password to access the lab section.
It is worth the money.

Summary: good questions and lab questions
Review: The questions are a good source of information for the test and will be helpfull for both experienced and non-experienced C# programmers that plan to take the mcad/mcsd exam, the topics covered are exactly what the exam recommends in its outline that you should know, in all i will say go for it before you take the test.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best for Exam 70-315
Review: The questions go stiaght to the point and focus on exactly whtat you need to pass the test, even though i had little experience in C#, it helped me a lot.
I recommend it to anyone that wants to pass the test.

Summary: Not worth the price, plus the website is gone
Review: What you are paying for are the online labs (from the website) and the cert question study guide. The idea is to work through the labs, and then try the sample cert questions.

Re: the labs
The website stopped working quite a while back and there seems to be no indication that it is ever coming back. Emails to infor@ewrox.net are not returned.

Re: the cert questions

These are useful questions if you are taking college courses on C# in general and ASP.NET web or you just want to test yourself on the knowledge for work (or for your own pleasure). However, these questions are not 70-315 cert questions. The information that is tested on the .pdf is important to know if you plan on doing ASP.NET development with C# but, for the most part, they do not correspond to the test objectives for 70-315.

70-315 does not really test your knowledge of the C# dialect of VB.NET/C# (this objective is tested on the 70-316, WinForms cert). The Mike Wright .pdf has a lot of C# questions. Important to know, yes -- but not tested on 70-315.

The other topics have a reasonable correspondence to many of the topics tested on 70-315, but the range of questions on this .pdf do NOT cover ALL the topics. Those that ARE covered are not covered comprehensively (e.g., the ADO.NET and data access questions only cover a subset of the ADO.NET topics you will face on the cert exam). There are some objectives on the cert that are not covered on this .pdf at all. In addition, many of the questions that do appear on this .pdf are not of very typical of what you will find on the cert. Keep in mind that 25% of what is tested on the certs is your ability to deal with the specific types, formats and language (i.e., wording) of the cert question while 75% is actual subject matter content.

To pass a cert you would be better off with the Amit Kalani book along with a TestKing or a Transcender practice exam.

Considering that the questions here are only partially useful for the certs and the fact that half the product (the online labs with study guide) is non-existent, $15.00 is a lot of money to pay.
