Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent book to learn the latest coding techniques!
Review: This book has the latest information on coding techniques that include turbo codes and low density parity check codes. The Cornell team of Wicker and Kim have done a nice job of putting together the latest developments in the field of coding theory into a manageably-sized book. The book covers the traditional block and convolutional coding techniques as well briefly. The book seems to have focused more on the theoretical side of coding theory with lots of theorems and (fast) proofs. Overall, I found this book very well-written.
