Review: Very few detailed accounts of software projects are written skillfully, dispassionately and with deep understanding of the subject. Mr. Moody's book belongs to this small group. Aside from the disappointing Postmortem chapter, which is not a real analysis, but a feel-good ending note, Mr. Moody's work is a very worthy read. The author is an acute observer and a first-class journalist.
