Rating: Summary: Excellent, very informative Review: I am re-purchasing this reference book as a result of my original copy being "borrowed" I presume, from someone in my PC Service & Support class. Because I am a novice to a lot of the terminology in my textbooks and don't usually wish to wait until the next class to ask the instructor, I find it to be most thorough (if somewhat tech-heavy)which is great for my purposes. When you don't understand the explanation, you can easily reference the words you don't know and get a clear, concise explanation of what you're looking for. For computer students, whether PC service, Windows NT, Novell, Oracle, etc., you will find this a valuable reference tool!!
Rating: Summary: You won't look clueless anymore... Review: If you're like me you've got a boss that is not only computer literate, HE WROTE THE LITERACY BOOKS! And naturally, he assumes that you know as much as him. This book will help you understand the tech talk anyone throws at you. Well, maybe not all the tech talk. But at least now you'll know that when someone says he's got 64 megs of RAM he's talking about his computer memory and not the roster of the recent superbowl winners. A must for everybody with a computer.
