Rating: 1 stars
Summary: A generic internet reference tool, non-HS specific
Review: For the price of 28.95 USD, I found this e-book disappointing and wished I had donated the money instead to HS-USA.org , a
nonprofit public 501c3 charity incorporated in the State of Michigan, USA. This organisation website HS-USA.org does however provide much more information about this disease.

This 92 page book utilises definitions from the Webster online dictionary which are not expansive enough, and definitions which may not be based on factual research.

For someone with no experience in finding information on the internet or in libraries, this book may be helpful in a generic fashion in order to discover that except for the NIH National Library of Medicine web site, factual information about Hidradenitis Suppurativa is lacking on government and health related sites worldwide.

Icon Publications appear to have slickly marketed the concept of a disease specific book, where the truth is far from that concept. The benefit of this publication is that those newly diagnosed with HS who are searching for accurate information, will be more likely to avoid the traps of alternative health sites that promote miracle cures and less than accurate disease information.
