Summary: An AWESOME resource for everything Macintosh
Review: As you might get from the name, it is a Macintosh Encyclopedia. Well writen and attractive to the eye, it makes finding and learning fun and easy. I especially enjoy the mini-bios of the people who have made the Macintosh the "Computer for the rest of us." It is historical and technical, specific and global, and contains information about the internet too. Taking the Maclopedia CD-ROM with your PowerBook means never having to be without help. Bonus: the disk is packed with utilities, demos and shareware. It would be five stars if Hayden Books would print it again in 1999.

Summary: Maclopedia- Dated, But Still Good
Review: This book is definately an excellent idea. It was written well and packed with tons of information, but unfortunately, it hasn't been updated for three years. If there were a 1999 Edition, I might have given it a Five Star rating. While the book is still good and entertaining to read, many people might be upset with the old information. Bottom Line, update it for God's Sake!
