Review: The author of this book taught me computer networks at calpoly, san luis obispo. Let me assure you, that without a doubt, that buying this book will be the biggest waste of money ever. Artech house must not employ any type of technical proofreaders, as this book is so outdated it defies belief. There are so many other good books on networking out there, i doubt that you'll have a hard time finding another one.

Summary: Awesome book. But too expensive!!!!
Review: This is a critical book if you want to understand OSI model. No other book explains the Session and Transport layers as clearly as this one does. The appendix on OS essentials is also very nice. If you are already a programmer and you want to understand data communication and networking completely. This book is for you. But the book is just toooooooo expensive!!. This is a five star book. I give it the 4-star because of the price
