It not only objectively rates everything, as expected from CR, but also explains computer terminology: RAM, ROM, MODEM, BROWSER, SEARCH ENGINE, COOKIES, SPAM, etc. There is a guide to the brands (hardware and software), and help in choosing peripherals that are just right for you. Setting up a home office? Here is some good advice. This book is up-to-date, with the latest information just before it went to print. I'm going to buy a new edition each year, to keep up with the technology.
