Summary: Excellent, easy recipes - most are fabulous
Review: I've tried several of the recipes. The Angel Food Tira Misou Torte is divine. All low in fat and high in taste. I served several recipes at potlucks and I got raves, no one knew they were light recipes.

The index is not very good and it could use more photographs.

Summary: Annual Recipes - 2001 Cooking Light
Review: The 2001 edition contains more wonderful low calorie, low fat recipes including new ones to experiment with on the weekend and some quick, easy recipes for during the week. Most of the ingredients are easy to find and affordable. My only complaint is that the chapters of the book are organized by month, not by course. It helps for great hints of something new during certain months (especially during the summer when you want something lighter), but it also makes it challenging to find something in particular. I believe there's an index in the back that helps.

Summary: Great tasting and low fat!
Review: This compilation of Cooking Light Magazine's annual recipes is a wonderful resource of how to cook delicious low fat foods. I have brought several recipes made from this cookbook to potluck dinners and had rave reviews from all the guests (especially the spinach artichoke dip). However, the only flaw to this book is it is organized by month of issue instead of types of dishes (appetizer, dessert, main course, etc). In spite of this, I still love this cookbook and think it makes a wonderful gift!

Summary: Cooking Light needs help
Review: This(and other Cooking Light books)definately need a better way to organize the recipes. The book doesn't even follow the order of the monthly magazines recipes. It is severely lacking in photographs. Most of the beautiful photos from the magazines are not used in the cookbook. The photos would be helpful in selecting recipes...especially because the book is not organized by food category. The recipes might be great, but who has 2 hours to search through a cookbook to find something to cook??

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: total confusion
Review: While there is a whole years worth of recipes in one book it will probably take a year to find a particular recipe. The index is very confusing. Cooks will just end up frustrated.
