Summary: A Must For Your Barbecue Book Library
Review: "Paul Kirk's Championship Barbecue Sauces" is a must-have for anyone who's serious about creating great barbecue. The book contains much of the same information that Chef Paul teaches in his Pitmaster BBQ classes all over the U.S. Lots of flavorful recipes for sauces, rubs, and marinades that are easy to make, plus tips on creating your own signature sauce or rub. Your barbecue book library is not complete without this book!

Summary: Excellent book with good practical knowledge.
Review: A great book. Plenty of good recipes for sauces, and more importantly some basics on how to develop your own sauces and balance flavors. Very readable. The author seems like your friendly old uncle who really would like for you to enjoy barbecuing.

Summary: Great book from a true Master in his field.
Review: A true cook book, not just a collection of recipes like so many others. Mr Kirk details every aspect of true BBQ in a manner that anyone, novice or seasoned chef, can understand and use.

Summary: Excellent book for anyone who likes to barbecue!
Review: I am always searching for good marinade and rub recipes. Now that I have this book, the search is over. Paul Kirk really shares his secrets on how to best season grilled/barbecued foods. I have used quite a few of these recipes already. My favorites (as well as my guest's) are Bill's beef power rub and Paul's Terriyaki marinade (using the sesame oil). Paul Kirk focuses on teaching you how to make your own marinades/rubs, etc. but offers plenty of good recipes and variations on such.

I highly recommend purchasing this book if you use your grill as much as we do.

Summary: Fantastic
Review: I am not into grilling, but this book has me extremely excited about starting. I got it as a gift for a friend and I have had to order this book another three times for myself and others who are going to love it.

Summary: Superb
Review: I love to eat and I love to cook. Barbecue has gotten trendy lately and I decided to see what it was all about. This book is wonderful. Not only are the recipes uniformly excellent but the method (even more important) of slow cooking is simply and clearly spelled out. Since purchasing this book last week, and with its guidance, I have made two of the best meals I have ever had, and I expect to make many more.

Summary: Great Book!!
Review: I picked this book up a couple of years ago for the purpose of having a few sauce recipes on hand to lend variety to my BBQ. This book is all that and much, much more! The depth of explanation about seasoning, rubs, marinades, mops, & sauces gives one the power to create not just follow. It's got the recipes if you're a follower and the knowledge to create a masterpiece BBQ on your own. So what if he is alledged to omit "secret" ingredients - this book will give you the know-how and the encouragement to come up with your own (isn't that what "secret" ingredients and great BBQ are all about?).

Summary: Your First BBQ book to purchase!
Review: I purchased my first smoker a few months ago but given the weather in Montreal I only started to use it last week, finally. I purchased this book on recommendations from others on this site and do not regret it at all! I have made several sauces and rubs and they are outstanding! I also had to go and purchase many of the ingredients that I did not have which took a while and at 5 different stores. I went through the book and made a list and after spending over 100.00 I had a complete collection of items I never had or heard of! This is my first book I have ever purchased for BBQ and I do not regret it. I have had compliments that I never had before and I am finally enjoying BBQing!

Summary: A brief comment
Review: I'm a big sauce fan (in more ways than one) so if you like to try different sauces this book is full of great ideas for different sauces, seasonings, marinades, rubs, mops, you name it. The sauces range from sweet to tangy and sour to peppery and spicy. This book will rub you the right way and your meat too. If there's a saucier book on the market I don't know what it is. Overall a great barbecuing book with lots of savory and fun sauce ideas to try.

Summary: BEST THING I'VE BAUGHT
Review: If you like barbecue, and are fond of ribs, pork or meats in general, you have to get this book at all costs. There is an unlimited amount of delicious recipes in this book. Paul Kirk is a badass!
