Summary: Finally, Its back in Print!
Review: A friend bought this from a "roadside" stand & gave it to me 7 years ago for my birthday. Ever since then, all my friends & family have been trying to steal it from me. We called the publisher and they told us it was out of print. Even having Amazon.com search for us, didn't turn up any more copies. I have over 100 cookbooks and this is the most often used. Straight forward and easy to read and use. Lots of great pictures!

Summary: The best cookbook we have
Review: All the recipes are made with common ingredients. Every recipe we have tried has come out great. We have even made recipes for the first time with company coming over with no worries that it would be exactly as described and as good as the picture. This is by far the best cookbook and a must own. I came here today looking to see if there is a sequel that I could buy.

Summary: Best cookbook I've ever used
Review: Every recipe that I have used in this cookbook without exception has been wonderful! I especially like the Old-World Rasberry Bars. The cookbook is worth the price just for the beautiful pictures that appear every time you turn the page. The pictures of mouthwatering deserts, entrees, vegetables, etc give the reader an idea of what the finished product will look like. I showed my copy to my mom the other day and now she wants a copy of the cookbook. I would recommend this cookbook to the novice as well as the experienced cook.

Summary: Country Greats!!
Review: I am extremely selective of any cookbook. This book has a wonderful variety of recipes and ALL are very quick and easy, which is great for us busy parents who believe in a well-rounded, balanced and wholesome meal. That's hard to do these days AND in this economy. I'm not a "chef" by any means but try to put out very "taste-bud" pleasing meals. This cookbook allows great meals on a budget w/little prep/cooking time or mess. You will love the extra bonus info that comes with the book. Detailed explanations of "how to's"; shop for vegis, identify forms of fish, barbecue or grill, cut up and bone chicken, etc. Also, cooking tips (very helpful:),and such a variety of recipes in each catagory of food. **Great taste w/clear & easy instructions**

Review: I bought this book over eight years ago and still pull it out whenever we have dinner guests in our calendar. The full color pictures are inspirational even if you don't follow the recipe to the letter.The preparation and cook times are very accurate -- great for when you have guests arriving for dinner at a certain time and the directions are easy enough to follow for when my 15 year old wants to try her hand at dinner. This book is not just for dinners either! There are great dessert and sandwich recipes as well. All recipes contain quite a bit of butter (it IS a Land o'Lakes cookbook) so they are not for those cooking light, but are very tasty. The skillet pizza is the only recipe I have not liked so far. My favorite recipes are the deep dish apple pie and chicken Kiev.

This makes it very easy to removed the recipe that you want to make without having to
Turn the book this way or that way to read the recipe and look at the picture. The other wonderful part of this cookbook is that the pictures help guide you. The recipes are only on one page and the picture on the other side. I had this delivered while at work.
I had people clamoring at lunch to look through this cook book. One person said that it made him drool and another lady stating that she was buying this
Cook book. Another wonderful part of this is that you can add recipes to this as it is a binder.
This is worth the money I spent. I have looked for cook books that have pictures and this one is a great buy.

Review: This cook book is really great!!!! I borrowed it from my best friend and now as she wants it back I have to buy it myself :)) cause I don't want to miss it... As it says in the book: indeed the recipes are finger-licking good!!

Summary: Basic, everyday country cooking
Review: This is a well rounded cookbook, filled with beautiful photographs and easy to follow recipes. Most recipes use common household ingredients. I have used this book often, and have given it as a gift more frequently than any other cookbook. It's a keeper!
