Rating: Summary: Yum Review: 'Girl Drinks' is a delightful book. I recommend it to everyone. It's a perfect gift for the holidays. Who wouldn't be able to relate to Federman's personal story of a of a difficult break-up? I think Federman is a promising writer and I look forward very much to her next writing endeavor.
Rating: Summary: Divine Secrets Revealed.... Review: A cute book to get you started and revved up for a night on the town. yummy, yummy drinks that will keep you smiling all night! Is Rachel Federman the next Carrie Bradshaw?
Rating: Summary: A Must-Have for Holiday Entertaining! Review: A great collection of inventive recipes, while paying due diligence to the basics. The narrative makes this book a masterpiece! Can't wait to see if there will be a Volume II!
Rating: Summary: Yummy Review: Delicious drinks in a beautifully illustrated, pocket-size book. Ladies, put it in your purse when you're going out and ask the bartender to make one of these froufrou concoctions. I can personally vouch for the Le Passage cocktail--an unusual but tasty combination. Men need to try these too. Drinks aren't gender-specific!
Rating: Summary: Lame name! Excellent drinks! Review: Everything about this book of 101 cocktail recipes is on point, except for the title. Rachel Federman has done her homework and produced a set of recipes that will surely impress your friends. I love the pocket-size of it, so I can take it to the liquor store or to the bar. These aren't stuffy drinks. These are caramel martinis and chocolate-covered strawberries and london fogs. Variations on themes like Shirley Temple Blacks and blueberry mojitos. They're as much fun to make as they are to drink. This collection is so big on creativity that I've conjured a few of my own recipes as well as morphed a few of the oldies. Instead of mixing cream into a Brandy Alexander, pour over a scoop of vanilla ice cream, grate fresh nutmeg on top, and call it a Randy Alexander! I really hope Rachel continues her research and comes out with more editions!
Rating: Summary: Scrumptious Review: Girl Drinks boasts delightful drink recipes and Federman's rather amusing tongue-in-cheek personal anecdotes. Ultra-hip full color line illustrations accompany each recipe. Some favorite recipes of mine: Coconut Creme Frappe, St. Croix Cocktail, Chocolate Covered Strawberry. Great gift idea...
Rating: Summary: interesting, tasty recipes Review: I like the informal, casual feel of this book. The recipes use everyday, common bar staples and the results taste great-a great addition to my library!
Rating: Summary: Fabulous! Review: I reviewed this book along a dozen others as I was buying Christmas presents for my best friend. Despite my initial reaction to the title (ugh!), I immediately fell in love not just with the format and the recipes, but with the writing style, too. A lot of the other books were either too cutesy or silly, or much too serious. (Who wants to hold a big book or thumb through 50 pages to mix a few drinks??) This one was perfect, with a witty, sassy tone to complement the simple, fun recipes. It became our bartending bible during the pre- and post-Holiday festivities AND a conversation piece for guests (we threw at least two or three parties together last season), and I intend to purchase my own copy for my bar at home, as well. I will probably keep this on my "possible presents" list for other friends, too.

It is a sparkly, colorful book with eye-catching graphics, humorous anecdotes and delicious drinks. A must-get for the sassy lass on your list!
