Rating: Summary: Not Only for Couples! Review: As a working mom, I never had time to make a nice meal for my family. Then I got Quickies for Couples! This cookbook is great because the recipes do make enough for my family or can be doubled if more is needed. They're delicious and so easy to prepare. I also appreciate that the book includes several wonderful vegetarian & seafood dishes. This is a great buy for anyone!
Rating: Summary: Finally! Review: As a young and newly married woman, I am so happy to have found a recipe book to feature beginner-level recipes that serve two people. So many other cookbooks assume that you are an expert-level cook! "Quickies" is a great book to help you feel more comfortable in the kitchen, and it will never intimidate you.
Rating: Summary: Amazing and wonderful bood Review: I can not say enough wonderful things about this book. The recipes are easy, quick and most of all execellent. I have hidden this book from my husband who likes to cook and often thinks he is a better cook than me. With this book as my "secret weapon" I have been able to impress the pants off of him. I have not found a bad recipe yet. The portions are smaller than most recipes, and the tips throughout the book are witty and fun and a perfect compliment to this book. I would highly recommend this to everyone- and am buying it for my mother-in-law as my husband has even raved to her about these recipes!! That alone is good enough for me to know the book is wonderful!
Rating: Summary: Exactly what I've been needing Review: I love the Chicken-Basil-Blue pasta! I got an extra copy of the cookbook, just to keep in my office, so I can skim it and grab fresh stuff on the way home. The fastest gourmet food in the West! (Hoping for more recipes in a new book soon!!)

Rating: Summary: Great book Review: I love this book ! This is really useful for working couples, who do not have too much time to do cooking, but enjoy good food. The instructions are really easy to follow. I am going to order some more copies of Quickies as christmas gifts !!
Rating: Summary: A standard resource in my kitchen Review: I really do enjoy this little cookbook. While not as comprehensive or big as several others I own, I appreciate the fact that many (not all) of the recipes are sized for a small number of portions. Many recipes can be halved rather easily. I love the chocolate chip cookies (which are the standard Nestle tollhouse recipe with a few key changes) and the garlic mushroom marinara sauce, especially with the optional olives added to it. Overall I think this is a good cookbook. I have yet to make anything in it I didn't like.
Rating: Summary: Not so quick or small sized meals Review: I was disappointed with this book. It promises "Quick meals for busy couples" but only has a few of those. First off they include alot of meals that serve more than 2. A good portion of the meals take 40 minutes or more to cook. Alot of the recipes were not very appetizing from just their names. It was also kind of bothersome that they did not separate the sections from one another. I was able to scrape 1 recipe I would like to try from this book so that is why I gave it a rating of 1.
Rating: Summary: Typical for this kind of book Review: I'm returning this book because as usual not all of the recipes are for just 1 or 2 servings. I thought the point was to cook for 2 people and that's it. Annoyed that this keeps happening. I want recipes for 1 or 2 only, I don't want leftovers.
Rating: Summary: supremely tasty recipes Review: The recipe for Fresh Southwest Chicken Salad, page 136, took just half an hour to prepare, and it brought dinnertime light to a palate previously darkened by lunch at a particularly unfortunate national sandwich chain. The other recipes appear equally promising.
