Summary: Casseroles, huh?
Review: I thought I would be getting a cookbook that included easy recipes. You know the kind, where you put all the ingredients in the casserole and turn on the heat! Not so here, for many of the recipes. Many require you to cook various ingredients before you put them in the casserole to be baked. Extra work for busy people. I must say, though, that many of the recipes are tasty.....just not timely.

Additionally, several just did not work out, eventhough I followed the directions to a "T". Did they test all these recipes first? They tended to be short on moisture and long on dryness. That being said, there is enough good stuff in this book to recommend it.....just use your head. If it sounds like it will be dry, add more moisture to begin with!

Not a cookbook for beginners.

Summary: Great Cookbook
Review: I was interested in casseroles because I wanted recipes for dishes I can make ahead and freeze. This book exceeded my expectations. It has all the old favorites like tuna noodle and new ones like Osso Bucco. It even has a section on lower fat casseroles and a section on making recipes healthier. Every recipe I've tried has been a winner and have received lots of compliments. Some of the recipes are one dish suppers like Salmon and Peas, very tasty and easy to prepare. What it lacks in photos it makes up for in creativity.

Summary: Best Cookbook !
Review: One of the best cookbooks I have ever bought. The casseroles are not boring, bland, or difficult to make. The recipes don't call for unusual ingredients, but use fresh everyday common foods that we all have somewhere in our refrigerator or pantry.

Additionally, it is organized better than any other cookbook I have seen. There are no long editorials that working moms must suffer through at the 5 pm crunch as the kids are raiding the pantry. The book lets you select a reasonable recipe, make it and get the family fed and fast.

There are two things I've been craving for, this book & a nice cup of s o y f e e. You brew just like coffee and NO CAFFEINE! I can't believe it's made from so ybeans cause it taste just like coffee. Look for it online at ww.s o y coffee.com. Like the book, a great find!

Cooking confidence is at its best knowing that each recipe has been tested by the author. This is a recipe book that rates a 'must have' for every kitchen!

Summary: Awesome!
Review: The recipes in this cookbook are fabulous! I bought this book a few weeks ago and so far have made the: Basic Chicken and Dumplings, Spicy Beef Enchilada casserole, Super Stroganoff, Classic Hungarian Goulash, Pork Chops in Mustard Sauce, Lamb-Vegetable casserole, Rotini & fresh basil with pinenuts & cheese casserole. Everything blended well and was easy to make. I prepared a lot of these dishes in the morning then baked them at night. I highly recommend this book. So tasty!

Summary: Great for busy people
Review: These recipes are great because most of them are very easy and can be prepared ahead of time then popped in the oven a 1/2 hour or so before you eat. As a stay-at-home mom - I can put the dish together while the kids are napping, then am free to play with them during that cranky time before dinner. And every recipe we've tried is delicious!

Summary: Incredible and easy
Review: When I think of casseroles, I usually think of bland food that my grandmother made in the 50's and 60's--full of canned items. This book changed my mind about casseroles. The food is flavorful and satisfies both my picky children and my special dinner guests.

There are a wide recipes have a nice variety. I haven't run out of things to try and I haven't run into a dud yet.

I highly recommend this book.

Summary: Jackpot of Tasty Comfort Meals to Be Mined
Review: You'll strike exciting, easy one dish meals with this book loaded with various ingredients and styles.

They're all here--from chicken pot pies to seafood to Mexican to Pizza casseroles to Moroccan influenced. This is broad in its scope and rich in its diversity, from entrees to side dishes such as the nice section of rich gratins.

I'm especially fond of the Orange-Hazelnut Chicken and the Beer Beef Stew with Parslied Buttermilk Dumplings, Greek Chicken and Rice.

This is a prime candidate to get the kids in the cooking mode. Good place to have them join the fun and experience of cooking.
