Summary: Great Food that can be prepared fast
Review: Table for Two is a great cookbook for people that want to prepare great tasting food in 30 minutes or less. The recipes are easy to follow and prepare. I love to read her books and try her recipes. The great thing about the recipes in this book is that you are making enough for just two people, that means if you are single you will have enough for your dinner and lunch the next day, not having tons left over to eat for a week.

Keep up the good work, Jo. This book is definitely a classic.

Summary: Great cookbook for beginner cooks as well as veterans
Review: The thing I like best about this book is not the great recipes, but the tons of other information that is very helpful for beginner cooks. Stepaniak explains commonly used cooking terms like "saute," "simmer," etc., for those who may not really know what they mean. She also has many different tips for food preparation and storage, measuring ingredients, etc. Very useful cookbook.

Summary: Highly recomended!
Review: This book is an all in one schmorgasboard of info.
I especialy like that it has a section on spices
and herbs, explaining the best substitutes. The book
also tells you how to best prepare basic ingredients
for two, as well as measuring basic's for two. (Veggies,
pastas, grains...) The recipies are great, too. :)
Everyone loved the Peanut Butter and Jelly Muffins, and
try the Baked Macaroni and Vegetable Casseroles. Yum!

Summary: A newlywed's gift from above!
Review: This collection of easy to prepare recipes is full of wonderful ideas for creating weeks of delicious vegetarian meals without days of left-overs.

Summary: Great small portion Vegan Cooking
Review: This cookbook is fantastic. it's portions are sized just right for my Fiance and Myself. We don't have to scale back the recipe's to avoid leftovers. It also included a guide to setting up your pantry and your kitchen, as well as a two week meal schedule that is especially good for those who are new to being vegetarian or Vegan. I like it because though I am not Vegan the recipes are easily adaptible to include real cheese, and as a vegetarian they meat my needs as well.

Summary: Fantastic cookbook!
Review: This has to be one of my favorite cookbooks. I use it several times a week b/c the portion sizes are perfect for me and the recipes aren't at all time consuming or difficult to make.Joanne is very thorough in the step by step instructions for each recipe. The introduction has alot of great tips, a list of ingredients for stocking a pantry, and suggestions for very basic equipment. This book is great for anyone who is new to vegetarian/ vegan cooking, or doesn't like to spend too much time in the kitchen.

Summary: Convenient and healthy, but not for showcasing veganism
Review: This is a convenient cookbook for two, but I wouldn't recommend using this to lure and impress potential vegans. I also have Vegan Vittles, and while Joanne's recipes are definitely healthy, I wouldn't label them absolutely delicious. Edible and satisfactory, yes. Mouthwatering and wanting 2nds, NO. Try "How It All Vegan".

Summary: A *SUPER-DUPER* cookbook!
Review: This is an awesome cookbook for anybody, novice and seasoned chef alike, looking to make delicious food in smaller quantities. It's prefect for those cooking for just one or two people, but you may very well find yourself loving the dishes so much that the next time you're expecting company, you'll go ahead and double one of the recipes from this book. (It's very easy to do, and the recipes are certain to please!) There's such a wide variety of foods included that there's sure to be something for everybody. This one's got you covered from the first thing you eat in the morning, to the last bite of wonderful dessert you eat before turning in for the night, to every meal and snack in between. The recipes are quick, easy, and straightforward while never scrimping on taste and texture. There's also such a wealth of helpful and useful information included that you'll find yourself reaching for this cookbook at times other than when you're cooking. Table for Two is definitely a welcome addition to any cookbook collection. You won't be disappointed!

Summary: great starter cookbook....
Review: This was one of the first Vegan cookbooks I purchased and have used, and continue to use regularly. I bought this book while transitioning to veganism, and found it to be indispensable. I think I've made almost every recipe in the book, all with great results. The recipes are tasty, not to complicated and full of comforting and familiar foods. It also introduced me to some unique Vegan ingredients - which I now use in many recipes. I especially like the index that allows you to search by ingredients. In addition, in following the recipes (and portion sizes), I was able to loose over 180lbs! Just another added benefit of a healthy cooking that Joanne makes so accessible.
