Summary: Simplistic recipes, Nice insight to church social events
Review: While I purchased this book for its recipes, I found myself more interested in the chapter introductions, which are lovely memories and helpful hints about church social (and of course, food-centered) functions such as bake sales, potlucks, funeral meals, etc. I found most of the recipes a little too plain for my taste (although there are a few gems), but the editorials are wonderful. Would be particularly helpful for someone who is getting involved with church life and who hasn't grown up in the church.
