Rating: Summary: far more than a cook book Review: This is an excellent book with concise recipes that are easily duplicated and/or adapted for the American kitchen. The explanations of the regional cusines and the beautiful pictures and histories of the many provinces of this fascinating country are the icing on the cake. This is a wonderful "coffee table book" as well as a working cook book.

Rating: Summary: far more than a cook book Review: When you open this book, you'll find so much more than recipes... you will find the truest statement abour a way of living you've seen. The recipes alone would have made this a great book, but the story, about the context of those recipes, and their value in traditional Spanish cooking and living makes it a superb book. The best i've ever read, and re-read and re-read
