Review: I discovered this book by accident and absolutely enjoyed it! Although geared mainly towards African-Americans, this book is perfect and long-overdue for any culture-based bridal shower. I loved the detailed planning ideas the book offers. This is definitely a treasure! We want more!!!

Review: This small book fills a large void. Ms. Evans' book is the first of its kind aimed at the African American Bride preparing for her wedding. The book has ideas to create unique and fun pre-wedding celebrations. I am excited for Ms. Evans as the first to fill this void so elegantly.

Summary: Great resource for a different kind of shower
Review: Very short, small book, but packed with a wealth of knowledge. Great ideas for various on typical showers like a soul found pot luck shower. Good list of games. I was able to find a nice list of R & B love songs (which I could not find in any other shower book) and things like that. Author does tend to put an emphasize on kwanzaa, which can either be an interesting spin on the holiday (if say the bride to be has applied to the principals to her everyday live and most of the guest understand them), but can be a little confusing if you don't understand the meaning. I would recommend this book for anyone looking for rich, cultural ideas to add or created for thier shower
