Summary: Out of Print -- Try Two Others!
Review: I bought this book along with two others, "And That's How You Make Cheese!" by Shane Sokol and "Cheesemaking Made Easy" by Ricki and Robert Carroll. I liked all three books, but this one is now out-of-print.

If you are a beginner looking to make some of your first cheeses, I recommend "And That's How You Make Cheese!" by Shane Sokol. This book is very easy to follow and has recipes for all of the more popular cheeses, 30 of them, I think. If you have some practice under your belt and want to try some of the more obscure cheeses, order "Cheesemaking Made Easy." There are more recipes for cheeses you may not have heard of before, but this book may be a little confusing if you are beginner.

All of these books are good, and will help you make good cheeses right in your kitchen. Please check out these other two that are available and are similar.

Summary: An invaluable book for the beginner cheese maker
Review: This is a great book for anybody who loves cheese. I was a total cheese maker novice when a friend who is a chef told me about this book. It is perfect. I found many of the recipes practical and basic. There were several labeled as easy and fairly easy, which gave me the confidence to give them a try. I really enjoyed the history of cheese and other tips, such as storage, uses, yield, etc. This is an invaluable book for the beginner cheese maker. Experienced cheese makers would love it also. It's a beautiful book with excellent photography. I hope to see a series of cookbooks by this author.
