Rating: Summary: Nice book Review: I am an amateur cheese lover, which is to say I know what like. I bought this book just to broaden my horizons. This is not a book for specialists, but is for cheese lovers. Pamela Johns communicates her love for the cheese, for the region, and for the entire cheesemaking process. Very nice photography, many recipes, which I expected, but also an extensive discussion of the cheesemaking process in Italy. Photography and general quality of the book are excellent. Though it is a bit thin for a coffee table book, it is much too nice to keep in the kitchen. I haven't tried the recipes yet, but I am inspired to spend the extra money to get real Italian Parmagiano next time I go to the market.
