Summary: Stunning cakes, but not practical for an American kitchen
Review: The cakes shown in this book are gorgeous. But, the bulk of them require the use of fondant or marzipan - ingredients which are not typically used by an American cook, and (depending on where you live) which can be impossible to find in local stores. Although it is not as sophisticated, I would recommend buying the Betty Crocker's New Cake Decorating book rather than this one.

Summary: I Love It!
Review: This book was given to me about a year ago, and I finally used it. I made the artist box w/ the palette on top, becuase my daughter is an artist, plus she has been asking me to do it for awhile now, so I surprised her with it at her birthday party. Everyone was impressed, I agree that some of the ingredients are hard to find, but I just called around and found everythiung. I would suggest this book to anyone who loves the art of cake decorating.
