Review: I so enjoyed Colleen Bartley and John Pateman's Kid's Choice cookbook (as do all the little people in my life) that I was thrilled to find that Ms. Bartley has written another for adults. The layout is fantastic and easy to follow. I really appreciate the "chef's secret" tips as I am a novice cook and need all the help I can get. On the whole the ingredients are things that one would have on hand (no trips to the grocery store mispronouncing a French sounding ingredient as the produce boy stares at you as though you have two heads-it always turns out to be parsley anyway). There isn't a recipe I've tried that hasn't turned out wonderfully and tasted fabulous. The salmon strudel is to die for and the peanut butter cookies never last a day around here. All this being said I appreciate the low sugar, low fat as I am a big advocate of cutting sugar out of our diets. This cookbook makes that an easy delicious way to achieve that goal.
