Rating: Summary: The Settlement Cookbook Review: I used this cookbook as a child, when I cooked with my Mother and my Grandmother in the 1950s and 60s. It is a wonderful piece of American History, with recipes for things you might never have thought about. I reccomend this book to anyone who experiences the 'joy of cooking' and has a desire to keep American History alive and a part of the new century. A reprint or an edition from a used bookstore would be a treasured possession for any cook, a valuable gift.
