Summary: an irreplaceable book
Review: Aniela Rubinstein---reading her cookbook makes me wish I'd known her well enough to have tea with her every now and then. She must have been a joy. I've used her recipes for nearly 20 years now---delicious, imaginative, and each one with a history---a story of her family, of travels, of the past. Arthur Rubinstein was a magnificent musician. His artistry in music almost equals his wife's artistry in living---loving her children and her friends.

Her pie crust recipe, the one with the egg yolks, works perfectly. I thank her every time I make it. Every recipe is delicious, and comes out exactly as it should. There is a coconut/raspberry jelled dessert that is inspired. The chicken cutlets are tasty. And potatoes with raw onion, black pepper, and sour cream. Mmmmm... thanks, Nela
