Summary: Nice, if you like fondant
Review: These fun-shaped cakes do not require special pans, but some do require some sculpting skills. All are covered with rolled fondant, which most folks who grew up in the US with Mom's buttercream frosting tend to find too sweet and "strange" in texture. Nice book for what it is, but probably not highly useful to most US home bakers. I bake and decorate five or six cakes most weeks, but I wouldn't bake any from this book.

Summary: quick and easy.....
Review: This book had several pictures of the overall look but used equipment or unusual items to cut or decorate with. The general ideas are easy to copy if you have the eye for it.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Great color photos; sugarpaste method
Review: This book has wonderful and creative ideas for cakes. It is applicable to both adults and children, but beware it uses the sugarpaste method. If you prefer the Wilton method of buttercream icing, find another book; this one is not easily converted.
