Review: To me, this book is not a must have. Some of the recipes are a little expensive and not the sort children might appreciate for meals. There is a lemon pound cake recipe that calls for a purchased cake for instance. I believe I paid too much for it for what I actually got. That said, it could be a good book to give as a gift. The illustrations are cute. It is meant for someone who entertains, someone who gives baby and bridal showers or perhaps enjoys hosting church or civic luncheons. People who like theme gardening or container gardening would like it. There are recipes for Stuffed Tulips, Mango Salsa, Peppermint Grape Punch and Garden Lasagna. The salad recipes look very good, and there is an enticing looking recipe for Blackberry Cobbler. There are also a few jam recipes and lots of garden hints, and a chapter on homemade bath products that look wonderful. It's a good book, for the right person. Don't waste your money on this for someone who is not appreciative about fancy and time consuming decorating for summer parties.
