Summary: Feminists have always cooked!
Review: Don't Assume I don't Cook is not JUST ANY OLD cookbook. It takes recipes that women have used for years to nourish their families' and friends' stomachs and adds them to the actions and histories of the feminist movement that nourish their souls and lives. The recipes are from a wide variety of backgrounds and ethnicities. Some are familiar (chicken pot pie), some are exotic (margaritas made with beer). The stories of the movement range from merely interesting to awe inspiring. This book will be come a heirloom passed from grandmother to mother to daughter and beyond. I know that mine has already started its journey.
