Review: "One Magnificent Cookbook" was nominated for and won the International Association of Cooking Professionals/Seagram Food and Beverage Book Award for the Community and Not-For-Profit Cookbook category in 1989. It offers exquisite recipes along with pen and ink drawings of familiar sights along "The Magnificent Mile", Michigan Avenue. Menu ideas incorporating various Chicago locales are interspersed with beautiful four-color photography. When this book was published, the food community was totally into reduced-fat and fat free cooking; this cookbook offers none of that. It also utilizes only fresh ingredients. It was truly a Junior League committee project with everyone taking a part, including me, the co-chair and editor!
