Summary: This cookbook is clever as well as practical.
Review: Kay Morse did an excellent job in creating a wonderful cookbook that has interesting recipes that will sure to be a hit any time you use them. Also, the stories that were written are captivating. In fact I kept the book at my bedside for a week to read the "saucy stories". I enjoyed them all. Alhough I have not tried every single recipe, I defintely will! Congratulations to Ms. Morse for her innovative idea in creating this book. A perfect gift!

Summary: These are the cooking secrets I always wanted.
Review: Like many cooks, I seem to accumulate cookbooks, and often the recipes are not practical in real life or have ingredients that take a week to locate. The great thing about Stolen Recipes and Saucy Stories is that the recipes are from real people who share the one recipe that they are known for, the one that everyone tries to coax out of them. Kay Morse talked them into divulging their best secrets. Each recipe has a brief narrative about the person who contributed the recipe, which gives you something to read while you're waiting for the sauce to boil or the oven timer to ding. The recipes are delicious and the book makes a nice hostess gift as well.
