Summary: Feed the body and fuel the mind!
Review: Children and parents (or anyone else) will enjoy cooking up great recipes for the family with this cookbook! Easy and fun to follow its filled with scrumptious recipes (all I've tried anyway!) and spiced with charming, common sense prose apparently designed to fill the tummy and warm the soul! What a great combination for kids to learn cooking for themselves or their families! There's plenty of recipes adults will relish as well peppering the pages. Celebrities also have lent themselves as icing on the cake, so to speak, since the cookbook is a fundraiser for a non-profit organization. That is Blackberry Castle Productions, which, in a nutshell, promotes children's media literacy. For a gift or for your own kitchen, you can't go wrong trying out this delightful volume of recipeez and supporting a non-profit at the same time!

Summary: Kansas City people eat fun foods!
Review: This is the most unusual and fun recipe book I've ever used. You don't have to be a professional chef, or even a very good cook to get surprising and delicious results from it. I tried out some of the recipes on my friends, and they immediately suggested I throw a party. For quick gratification, I love the Magic Marshmellow puffs. The Oriental Beef and Broccoli is the simplest recipe for Oriental food I've tried and it's quite delicious. For classic KC fair, I love the Blackberry Castle Bar B Q Ribs. It renders an awesome glaze that can be adapted to other foods. After making the ribs I tried it on salmon and the results were fantastic!
