Summary: A Necessary Guide for all missionaries and their children
Review: As a missionary kid from Nigeria, now residing in Indiana for 24 years, I wish this book would have been written when I came to the USA. I feel that I would have benefitted greatly as there were not re-entry groups at that time such as Mu Kappa etc. It is a guide full of suggestions to help MK's and their parents. Parents receive guidance on what their Mk's will face and how they can help them adapt. There are lots of personal stories by those who have returned to the US and experiences they had and are willing to share with others. At the end of each chapter is a set of questions in a workbook type format to get the missionaries and their kids to think and understand the changes and feelings the MK's are or will experience. A must have book that should be a requirement by all mission board to the missionaries they send overseas.

Summary: Required reading for missionaries and their children
Review: This is not a diet book and has nothing to do with junk food. In this wonderful book, Gordon shares insights from missionary kids to missionaries, the pastors who send them and other missionary kids on how to survive back in the United States after growing up on the foreign mission field. You will laugh with them and cry with them as they share their hearts. This book ought to be required reading for every missionary with children and for every missionary kid.
