Review: I bought this book after reading Joseph's French Wines. This one is very different - more of an encyclopedia - but it has the same forthright opinions and the same down-to-earth approach. I'd compare it to the Hugh Johnson Pocket Encyclopedia, but it's easier to use and offers more in its introductory sections. I plan to buy several copies as gifts for friends who want to learn more about wine.
