Summary: Gorgeous series
Review: I own this and all the Country Garden series of cookbooks. They are all visually gorgeous, and all written by professional chefs. Each book surrounds a featured ingredient which is seasonal. I must admit that many of the recipes could be considered "chi-chi," but for cookbook collectors, this series is really wonderful. I'm sorry they stopped adding to these books, and very sorry that they are going out of print.

Summary: Too Pretty To Use
Review: This book is loaded with so many gorgeous color photos of garden scenes and herbs that you won't want to get it near the stove in case it gets stained! Some of the recipies are a bit complicated and lengthy and I wasn't wowed by any of them. There are many much better and more practical herbal cookbooks out there. If you can buy a discounted copy of this book then it won't be much of a waste. But for me, I prefer more down-to-earth recipies that require less time and ingredients. I use this book for inspriation while looking at the pretty photos!
